\n<\/script>\n<\/div><p style=\"text-align: left;\">[<a href=\"https:\/\/nest.bike\/blog\/mondiale-gravel-2023-i-segreti-del-percorso-gps\/\">Versione italiana QUI<\/a>]<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\"><strong>Gravel World Championship<\/strong> has been assigned to <strong>Veneto<\/strong> and will take place in the province of Treviso on <strong>7-8 October<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span> The r<span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">ace will be hosted in the <strong>UNESCO Heritage<\/strong> hills famous for <strong>Prosecco<\/strong> wine.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">It&#8217;s an area that we know like the back of our hand (we ride here since nineties&#8230;) and now you can discover it using to <a href=\"https:\/\/nest.bike\/itinerari-percorsi-mountainbike\/?maxKm=&amp;minKm=&amp;query=&amp;pCondition=&amp;skill=&amp;category=19&amp;bikeType=&amp;page=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>our bike-routes in the Treviso area<\/strong><\/a>.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Ok, but where are the <strong>Gravel World Championship<\/strong> GPS data?<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">We had them as a preview to create the <strong>official graphics<\/strong> of the route (<a href=\"https:\/\/nest.bike\/nest\/servizi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>yes: in addition to mapping MTB\/gravel routes, we realize cartography for sporting events too<\/strong><\/a>). <\/span><\/span><\/span><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">And now we can reveal all the secrets about the 2023 <strong>Gravel World Championship<\/strong>, as well as giving you the <strong>GPS data<\/strong>!<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-9517561976144461\" crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script><ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-9517561976144461\" \ndata-ad-slot=\"\" \ndata-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins>\n<script> \n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); \n<\/script>\n\n<hr \/>\n<h5><strong>THREE ROUTES, A POINT-TO-POINT START AND TWO DIFFERENT LOOPS<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The <strong>2023 Gravel World Championship<\/strong> route will have a lot of traps, long flat stretches, some hard climbs and many short climbs scattered here and there.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">More than 60% will be offroad, mainly on comfortable dirt paths or country tracks, with frequent concrete roads and rare technical points.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">There will also be bottlenecks, narrow bridges, cycle paths, some water crossing and an infinite number of crossroads and direction-changing which will require maximum <strong>concentration<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The start is located at the <strong>Mosole Headquarters<\/strong> at <strong>Le Bandie lake<\/strong> (the venue that hosted the Cyclocross World Championships in 2008) and the finish line is in <strong>Pieve di Soligo,<\/strong> the heart of the <a href=\"https:\/\/nest.bike\/itinerari-percorsi-mountainbike\/itinerario\/quartier-del-piave\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Quartier del Piave<\/a>.<\/span><\/span> Three are the planned routes, <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">formed by an initial point-to-point stretch followed by two loops in the hills, one to the eastern part and one to the western.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1814\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1814\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1814\" src=\"https:\/\/nest.bike\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/lr-colsandago_nest-bike-blog-mondiale-gravel.jpg\" alt=\"colle san dagoberto gravel la ronda\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-1814\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The first fast descent from Collalto hills to Pieve di Soligo (\u00a9 laronda.cc)<\/p><\/div>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The <strong>main route<\/strong> will be the men&#8217;s one, which on Sunday <strong>8th October<\/strong> will award the world titles in the Elite and &#8220;age groups&#8221; categories up to 49 years old.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\"><strong>Women&#8217;s route<\/strong> will be similar to the previous one, but with some shortenings in the two rings which will significantly reduce the length.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">On Saturday <strong>7th October<\/strong> this route will see both women (Elite and &#8220;age groups&#8221; up to 49 years old) and male amateur categories from 50 to 65 years old.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Finally the <strong>third route<\/strong>, intended for older athletes, which includes the initial point-to-point section ant the second loop in its shorter version (the women&#8217;s route one).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-9517561976144461\" crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script><ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-9517561976144461\" \ndata-ad-slot=\"\" \ndata-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins>\n<script> \n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); \n<\/script>\n\n<h5>THE THREE ROUTES AND GPS DATA<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>Men&#8217;s route (Elite M, M 19-49) &#8211; 169km \/ 1890m+ *<\/li>\n<li>Women&#8217;s route (Elite W, W 19-49, M 50-65) &#8211; 140km \/ 1660m+ *<\/li>\n<li>Route M 65+ and W 50+ &#8211; 100km \/ 1030m+<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>*<\/strong>Age groups categories won&#8217;t ride the launch lap around Le Bandie lake. \n<\/script>\n\n<hr \/>\n<h5>THE START<\/h5>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">After the launch-lap (only for Elite categories), the<strong> first offroad section<\/strong> is only 3,5 kilometers after Le Bandie.<\/span><\/span> It&#8217;s the <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">long straight of Via dei Fanti, a wide dirt road with a lot of potholes.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The <strong>road bridge over the Piave river<\/strong> leads now into the <a href=\"https:\/\/nest.bike\/itinerari-percorsi-mountainbike\/itinerario\/fronte-del-piave-da-ponte-a-ponte\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8220;grave del Piave&#8221;<\/a>, where gravel, rocks and dust mark the route for about 12 kilometers going north to <strong>Ponte della Priula<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1812\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1812\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1812\" src=\"https:\/\/nest.bike\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/collalto_nest-bike-blog-mondiale-gravel.jpg\" alt=\"collalto gravel\" width=\"800\" height=\"451\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-1812\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The gentle slope towards Collalto is the first climb of the 2023 Gravel World Championship<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><\/div>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Few kms later is the first feed zone at the Borgo Luce farm, and from here starts the gentle climb up the <a href=\"https:\/\/nest.bike\/itinerari-percorsi-mountainbike\/itinerario\/susegana-e-il-collalto\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Collalto hills<\/strong><\/a>.<\/span><\/span> The route goes into the v<span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">ineyards with easy slopes (there&#8217;s only a very short ramp at the beginning), passing near <strong>San Salvatore Castle<\/strong> and arriving at <strong>Colle della Tombola<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">It&#8217;s now timw for a fast series of <strong>ups and downs<\/strong>, at the beginning on dirt roads and then on asphalt up to the panoramic <strong>San Dagoberto hill<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The next long descent (dirt road) will require caution due to the gravel surface and some drainage bumps; it<\/span><\/span> ends not far from<span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\"> <strong>Pieve di Soligo<\/strong>: first crossing of the finish line, start of the first loop.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-9517561976144461\" crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script><ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-9517561976144461\" \ndata-ad-slot=\"\" \ndata-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins>\n<script> \n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); \n<\/script>\n\n<hr \/>\n<h5><strong>THE FIRST LOOP<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">It begins with seven and a half flat kilometers on asphalt into the valley of the magnificent <a href=\"https:\/\/nest.bike\/itinerari-percorsi-mountainbike\/itinerario\/tarzo-e-refrontolo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Molinetto della Croda<\/strong><\/a>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Here is the second climb: the easy first half is on unpaved road towards Costa Piere, the second half is steeper and leads on tarmac to the village of <strong>Arfanta<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">At the top the routes split: men to the left, women to the right.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Men&#8217;s route continues on asphalt along the hairpin bends of Zuel and the descent to Gai, then passing through the <strong>dirt cycle paths of Valsana<\/strong> to <a href=\"https:\/\/nest.bike\/itinerari-percorsi-mountainbike\/itinerario\/tour-della-valsana\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Revine Lake<\/strong><\/a> (feed zone).<\/span><\/span> Also t<span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">he women&#8217;s route arrives in Valsana, but following a shorter route that includes a narrow fast asphalt descent, a climb up to Reseretta and a <strong>crazy descent on concrete<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Be careful: if wet it will become the most dangerous part of the entire route!<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Both routes now continue along gravel paths around the <strong>Revine lakes<\/strong> (here is another short split of the routes) arriving at the third climb (Nogarolo) that pass through the <strong>Cal da Bar<\/strong>, an old trail now converted into a cycle\/pedestrian path.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">It&#8217;s 700 meters over 11%, with the final ramp breaking through 20%.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">In one word: a &#8220;<strong>muur&#8221;<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">It was discovered few years ago by <strong>LA RONDA (the local tribute to Ronde van Vlaanderen &#8211; <\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.laronda.cc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>www.laronda.cc<\/strong><\/a>), a well-known event for its insane climbs.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1813\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1813\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1813\" src=\"https:\/\/nest.bike\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/LARONDA-cal-da-bar_nest-bike-blog-mondiale-gravel.jpg\" alt=\"cal da bar la ronda\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-1813\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">When <strong>LA RONDA<\/strong> meets the Cal da Bar&#8230; asphalted, but made tricky by the <strong>steep gradients<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span> And<span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\"> a final part on the ruins of a <strong>cobbled path<\/strong> is maybe more suitable for <strong>mountain biking<\/strong> than gravel.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Anyway, the <strong>Soligo river<\/strong> is now again part of the route, this time with the fast cycle path on its left bank.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\"><strong>Last kilometer<\/strong> is entirely on asphalt with a very slight descent and has three 90\u00b0 turns, the last at about 200 meters from the finish line.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">From -200 to -100 the road goes downhill just enough to gain speed for the sprint: the <strong>last 100 meters are slightly uphill<\/strong> until the finish line located in the main square of <strong>Pieve di Soligo<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-9517561976144461\" crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script><ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-9517561976144461\" \ndata-ad-slot=\"\" \ndata-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins>\n<script> \n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); \n<\/script>\n\n<hr \/>\n<h5>IN THE END, OUR OPINION<\/h5>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">It&#8217;s a <strong>varied and selective route<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">After the fast and easy starting section, the first loop will include the most climbs mainly on <strong>fast and smooth<\/strong> terrain (the majority of asphalt is here).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The <strong>second loop<\/strong>, although opens with a long flat stretch, instead offers more technical descents and also bumpy, muddy and grass sections.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Hint:<strong> eyes open on the descents<\/strong>! You will often be speeding between villages, in dark woods and in many other situations of poor visibility.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Furthermore the route will feature blind curves, sudden hairpin bends, leaves and gravel on the road.
